銀離子具有很強的殺菌作用，故從中國古代開始便有用銀器飲水的習慣。根據美國EPA與WHO（世衛組）相關規定，銀雖屬重金屬，但有一個安全閾值。 EPA與WHO 提供的RfD內容中有標明，以70公斤成人為標準，銀離子的安全攝取量為350微克/天。微米銀噴霧中的微米銀含量只有0.1%，按照一次噴出0.3ml計算，人體可以吸收的銀離子也只有2.4微克（口服最大值）。按照1天噴10次來計算就是3ml的噴霧，就算將3ml的噴霧溶液全部喝掉，人體能吸收的銀離子最大值也只有24微克，比規定值低很多，故用於人體也很安全。

*銀離子（口服）人體吸收計算方式：噴霧3ml含3000微克微米銀，在平衡狀態中只有20%的金屬銀以離子形式存在（20%為最高值，實際一般只有10%），而根據Furchner等人的數據，僅有4%的銀離子可以留在人體中。因此3000微克微米銀口服後最終留在人體中的含量最高值僅為24微克。

Normally, unwanted germs from outer world are concentrated on the surface of the skin. MicroSilver particles are concentrated on the surface of the skin and do not penetrate into the skin, so MicroSilver kills most of germs. The resident skin flora (commonly known as beneficial bacteria), generally located in the stratum corneum and including deeper layers of the epidermis, are left intact in deeper epidermis layers by MicroSilver, and the resident skin flora can always recuperate and recolonize the upper skin surface. Clean non-woven cloth can be used to wipe the surface of the object. Due to the high weaving density of the surface of non-woven cloth, the micro silver particles will not stick away, which can ensure that the micro silver particles remain on the surface of the object for continuous action.
